This workshop is designed to support parents/carers with psychoeducation around why children and young people self-harm, how to talk to them about self-harm, how to validate and support them and how to co-regulate with them.

How to support your child’s sensory needs, to reduce behaviours of distress (Parent workshop)

This workshop is designed to support parents/carers with psychoeducation around the sensory systems, their impact on emotion regulation, how sensory distress can lead to meltdowns and shutdowns and how to create a sensory profile to reduce behaviours of distress.

-This workshop is suitable for any parent/ carer with a child or young person who is experiencing distress due to sensory needs e.g. loud environments.

Supporting your child with anxiety around school transition (Parent workshop)

The school anxiety workshop will be delivered to parents of children and young people who are feeling anxious about school and their transition to different schools. We will consider psychoeducation around anxiety, how anxiety can be maintained and strategies you can use to support your child further.

Supporting your child with emotionally-based school avoidance (Parent workshop)

The workshop on emotional based school avoidance is delivered to parents of children who are struggling with attending school full time due to emotional and mental health challenges. During the workshop we will explore what anxiety is but also consider it in the specific context of emotional based school avoidance. We will also explore strategies which parents can use to support their child in becoming more confident in attending school on a more regular basis.
