Ormiston Families Chief Executive Allan Myatt has retired after 15 years at the charity.
Allan served his final day in charge at the start of August, having joined the charity in 2010 and being installed as Chief Executive in April 2018.
He is retiring to spend more time with his family and had a special message for the charity’s supporters on his departure:
It’s impossible to leave a role like this without thinking about the people – both our amazing team and those we work with.
In my time here we’ve worked with more than 50,000 people going through some extraordinarily difficult times.
They include children struggling with their mental health, mothers dealing with loss, families navigating imprisonment and young people coping with grief.
And I am proud to say that each and everyone is met in two very important ways – with compassion… and without judgment.
The impact has been real – and lasting. And you’ve been part of it.
If you’ve ever attended an event, shared our work, or made a donation – thank you. You’ve helped build brighter futures.
Finally, I’m proud of everything we’ve built together – but I believe Ormiston Families’ best days are still ahead.
So, I have a simple request – please keep supporting us by signing up for an event, sharing our story or donating to our cause. It really does make a huge difference.
Thank you again for making our work possible and for helping people in the East of England to feel happier, stronger and understood.
Allan retires with the best wishes of everyone at Ormiston Families.
