Run the London Marathon for Ormiston Families

Take on the TCS London Marathon 2027 for Ormiston Families

The iconic TCS London Marathon returns in 2027, and we would love you to be part of Team Ormiston Families. This world-famous 26.2-mile route brings together runners from around the world for an unforgettable experience in the heart of London.

In 2026, our runners raised over £12,000.
In 2027, we want to go even further.

Why we need you

When you run for Ormiston Families, you are helping children and families feel safe, supported and able to move forward. Every step you take helps us:

  • Support children and young people facing big issues such as parental loss or family breakdown
  • Strengthen families so they can build resilience, improve relationships and find brighter days ahead
  • Provide early help so problems don’t escalate and families can thrive into the future

We have four charity places available for the 2027 London Marathon and are looking for committed runners who want to take on a challenge and make a difference.

Got your spot already?

If you’ve already secured a place through the ballot, you can still run for Ormiston Families and raise money on our behalf.

As part of Team Ormiston Families, you’ll get all the same support as our charity placeholders and be part of our team on race day.

If you’ve secured your place and want to run for us, get involved by emailing:

Fundraising expectations

We ask each of our charity place runners to aim to raise £3,000.

We will support you throughout with fundraising ideas, guidance and regular check-ins.

Your fundraising could help us:

  • Provide one-to-one support for grieving children
  • Reach children through special community projects such as our Minecraft programme
  • Support families earlier, before challenges become more serious
  • Help children stay engaged with education

Every pound you raise helps us support families when they need it most.

Note: Whilst this is not a condition of entry, we urge you to undertake all efforts to achieve this target, as our charity relies on this vital income to continue our essential work.

The race day experience

  • A world-famous route through London, including landmarks such as Tower Bridge and The Mall
  • Incredible support from crowds along the course
  • A personal challenge you will never forget
  • The knowledge that your run is making a real difference

What you’ll get

When you join Team Ormiston Families for the TCS London Marathon 2027, you’ll receive:

  • A branded Ormiston Families running vest
  • Fundraising tips, resources and ideas
  • Access to our team WhatsApp group
  • Support from our friendly team
  • Updates showing the impact of your fundraising

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be part of a committed, passionate team, all running for the same cause.
