Ormiston Families x Academy Trust: Great Eastern Run 2026

Take on a challenge that will help change lives across the East of England.

The AEPG Great Eastern Run returns on Sunday 11 October 2026, and we’d love you to join Team Ormiston Families on this iconic, closed‑road race through Peterborough.

As a member of the Ormiston Academy Trust, you’ll pay a reduced fee of £10 when the time comes – roughly 60% off the standard entry fee.

We kindly ask runners to aim to raise around £180 to support our work. This is not a condition of entry, and no part of your fundraising is a payment for goods or services.

To help us track and celebrate your progress, we ask that you set up a JustGiving page linked to Ormiston Families.

What you’ll experience on race day
  • An exciting route through the streets and surrounds of Peterborough
  • Medical support, water stations and a unique medal on completion
  • A vibrant event village and brilliant race day atmosphere
  • A challenge suitable for runners of all abilities
  • The pride of knowing every step supports families in need

What you’ll get as part of Team Ormiston Families
  • branded Ormiston Families running vest
  • Fundraising tips, resources and encouragement
  • Support from our team throughout your training

Why your fundraising matters

Your support helps us provide specialist early intervention services for children, young people and families facing difficult moments. Whether that’s coping with a family separation, navigating the impact of a parent’s imprisonment or finding support after a bereavement.

Every £20 you raise can fund a skilled practitioner for one hour, helping a child feel seen,  heard and more hopeful for the future.

Together, Team Ormiston Families is aiming to raise £5,000, enough to fund 250 hours of specialist support for those who need us most.

Terms & Conditions for Charity Places

Please read before completing your registration.

  • Event organiser
Ormiston Families is not the organiser of the Great Eastern Run. The event is delivered and managed by Good Running Events, who are responsible for all race operations, safety and final participant approval.
  • Registration fee and refunds
Your charity registration fee allows us to process your details and submit your application to the event organiser. If a place cannot be offered, a full refund will be issued. Once a place is confirmed, the fee becomes non‑refundable.
  • Minimum age
All runners must be 17 years old or over on race day.
  • Fundraising expectations (VATsafe)
We ask runners to aim to raise around £180. This is entirely voluntary and not a condition of entry, meaning every penny you raise, plus Gift Aid, goes directly towards supporting children and families.
  • Event terms
All participants must agree to and comply with the event organiser’s official terms and conditions.
  • Photography and publicity
By joining Team Ormiston Families, you consent to us using non‑identifying photos or content from the event for promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise.
