#ResilienceMeans
Resilience is a word that has been used a lot since we have been on lockdown. It’s a word which we at Ormiston Families use often and forms part of our vision for families across the East of England. We strive to help families, young people and children build resilience in order to feel strong enough to face any challenges that come their way in the future.
We have been gathering thoughts from staff across the organisation, as well as our Patron Saeed Atcha MBE DLjh,b on what resilience means to them. We think these are really inspiring and a great reminder for us all during this very uncertain time that we are strong enough to overcome unexpected challenges life throws at us. Please do share what resilience means to you by emailing us at communications@ormistonfamilies.org.uk or tagging us on social media and using the hashtag #resiliencemeans

- A truly resilient child is able to manage their emotions when faced with a stressful situation.
- Resilience is the ability to recognise difficult situations or events and react positively to them.
- Resilience is believing that you have the strength to get through a tough situation.
- Resilience is braving a ‘teams’ meeting when you’ve cut your own hair!!
- Resilience is that UNSTOPPABLE feeling of finding and using our inner strength and courage.
- Resilience is having the capability to bounce back from difficult situations.
- Resilience is facing a problem rather than avoiding dealing with it.
