Finalists at Children and Young People Now Awards

Ormiston Families is honoured to be a finalist for the prestigious Children and Young People Now Awards in the Charity Award category.

Members of the Ormiston Families team attended a glitzy ceremony on Thursday, November 24, for the awards, considered the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families.

Now in their 17th year, these awards provide a great source of pride and recognition for all those who strive day in, day out, to improve the lives of others. They offer an opportunity to raise the profile of projects and initiatives to funders and the general public.

In all, 115 entries were shortlisted across the 23 awards categories representing dozens of organisations from the sector, including local authorities, public sector agencies, children’s charities, membership bodies and private providers.

Ormiston Families was a finalist alongside Victim Support, North East Dads and Lads project, Papyrus, and the Haven Wolverhampton.

The winner announced last night at the awards was Victim Support.

Our funder Peter Murray and his wife Di joined CEO Allan Myatt, Head of Impact and Insight Toni Bentley, and Head of Income Generation Kate Higgs at the awards ceremony held in London.

Kate says:

“It was a great night and an opportunity to meet with colleagues from across the sector. We were honoured to see our name in lights alongside national charities such as the NSPCC and The Children’s Society as well as many other local charities all making a difference to the lives of the children and young people.

“Being a finalist in these prestigious, national awards is a recognition of the work our team carry out on a daily basis.”
