Ormiston Families is the East of England’s leading family charity, supporting children, young people and families to manage the challenges they face and improve their life chances.
We provide wide-ranging support for children and young people, from mental health services, help to bridge the gap between home and school, to support for imprisonment and much more.
Our vision is safe, healthy, happy children.
We identify and respond to the needs of children, young people and families.
The people of Ormiston Families are a group of special individuals united by very strong values. You’ll see us demonstrating these values every day, right across the East of England and in each of our services.
We are Caring
We go the extra mile by listening and learning from children, young people and families. We celebrate achievement.
We are Brave
We are courageous in tackling difficult issues and unflinching in our support for the most challenged. We find innovative and creative solutions if they are the best ones for children, young people and families.
We are Effective
We will demonstrate real impact by using demonstrable approaches delivered by the right people. We will not turn our back on those seeking support from us.
Through four core programmes Ormiston Families works to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
The Nurture Programme supports the development of children in their early years;
The Engage Programme improves outcomes for young people in education;
The Unite Programme helps families affected by imprisonment to maintain positive family relationships;
The Connect Programme promotes the well-being of individuals in the local community.
Ormiston Trust is a grant-making trust that is not open to applications. Their mission is to invest in the delivery of high quality programmes through children’s services and academies that will improve the life skills of the young people and families they support. To achieve this mission, they work in close partnership with Ormiston Families and Ormiston Academies Trust who are able to deliver effective programmes to the young people and families.
