The Breaking Barriers project works to minimise the impact of imprisonment on children who have a close family member in prison. Our services support family relationships to continue developing throughout the sentence, which plays a critical role in helping to reduce reoffending rates.

Team Leader
Ormiston Families’ Breaking Barriers Project

This post is a permanent part-time position, 28 hours per week
Starting salary £24,047 pro rata per annum
Based in Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire

The role of the post holder will be to provide outcome-based support designed to address the needs of children, young people affected children and young people (CYP) with a parent/carer or close family member in prison who may feel isolated or excluded in their home community, ensuring that these programmes meet individual need and further the aims of Ormiston Families.

As Team Leader, you will balance case management as well as line manage the Breaking Barriers Practitioners in the Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire areas and lead a collaborative approach to setting best practice and a passion for improving the safety, health and resilience of children and young people.
