Booking a visit
All visitors to HMP North Sea Camp must book their visit in advance. Visits can be booked online here or by calling the Visits Booking Line on 01205 769 368. The booking line is open Monday-Friday 09:30 - 11:30 and 14:30 - 15:30 and Saturday & Sunday 14:30 - 15:30.

North Sea Camp is situated midway between Boston and Skegness. Take the A52 from Boston towards Skegness, after approximately 5-6 miles turn right into the village of Freiston and follow this road for approx 2.5 miles. At a sharp left hand bend, follow the road marked Croppers Lane off to the right. The prison is approximately 1.5 miles down this road. There is a car park at the entrance to the prison. Parking is free. There is an indoor visitors waiting area next to the car park.
By public transport
The nearest railway station is Boston but transport will be needed to get to the prison. This is provided by the prison for visitors to and from the train station but you will need this book this via the phone at the time of booking.

When you arrive
When you arrive at HMP North Sea Camp, please report to the gatelodge. You will need to bring ID and up to £15 per person in coins to spend in the café ID for adults should be photographic, but otherwise a birth certificate and bank card, 2 utility bills or bus pass or citizen card can be used. Under 18s need either a birth certificate, red health book or a passport.
All mobile phones and unauthorised articles must be left in the lockers in the gatelodge.
Inside the visits hall there is a small café providing hot and cold drinks and a variety of hot food, snacks and sweets.
Children are your responsibility at all times inside the prison and the visitors waiting area. A play area is available in the visits hall and activities are provided. Please note that no food and drink are allowed in this area.
Concerns about a prisoner
Lincolnshire Action Trust staff understand that prison can be a very difficult time, for both prisoners and their families. If you have any concerns about a prisoner at HMP North Sea Camp, feel free to contact the Safer Custody team on 01522 663000 or speak to a member of staff at the visitors’ centre or in the visits hall.
- Family visits: these are special visits which take part several times a year, usually during the school holidays. These are on a Wednesday and run from 11:00 – 15:30.
- Family liaison: information, guidance and support on a wide range of matters affecting prisoners’ families is offered to prisoners through referrals via the Prisoner Advice Centre and to their families directly through visits.
