Train as a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
Fixed Term Contracts for 12 months.
Salary £25,147 based on 37.5 Hours per week
Training commences in January 2025. (Permanent positions subject to vacancies at the point of qualification).
This is an exciting opportunity to train as a CWP whilst in employment with Ormiston Families as part of the YOUnited partnership, working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The successful candidates will undertake training at University College London (UCL) alongside working in service for Ormiston Families. You will be trained in the delivery of evidence based ‘guided self-help’ interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Trainees will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into YOUnited and will receive regular supervision to support their professional development.
YOUnited was established in 2021 to transform and bring together mental and emotional health services for children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Ormiston Families and Centre 33 and have joined their expertise in therapeutic support with Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. You will be joining a supportive team of CWPs, Counsellors and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners.
Experience of working with children and young people who have experienced mental health difficulties is essential. The post requires a minimum of a second-class bachelor’s degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology), or relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship.
This is a home-based position, but you will be required to travel across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.
