Train as a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
Fixed Term Contracts for 12 months.
Salary £25,147 based on 37.5 Hours per week
Training commences in January 2025. (Permanent positions subject to vacancies at the point of qualification).
This is an exciting opportunity to train as a CWP whilst in employment with Ormiston Families as part of the Supporting Smiles Team working across Norfolk.
The successful candidates will undertake training at University College London (UCL) alongside working in service for Ormiston Families. You will be trained in the delivery of evidence based ‘guided self-help’ interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Trainees will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into Supporting Smiles and will receive regular supervision to support their professional development.

We are excited about this next phase of development in the Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner pathway and hold a clear vision on our aim to offer accessible, timely and evidence based CWP interventions to the young people and families in Norfolk and Waveney.
Experience of working with children and young people who have experienced mental health difficulties is essential. The post requires a minimum of a second-class bachelor’s degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology), or relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship.
This role will be based at the Norwich HUB, which expectation as the course progresses to work within the community across Norfolk.
