Refreshment Bar Supervisor – HMP Bedford
Ormiston Families’ HM Prisons Family Support Service
This is a permanent part-time post; 13.5 hours per week
Starting salary £6,391 (based on 13.5 hour week)
Based at HMP Bedford
The Ormiston Families team is based at HMP Bedford. We work with prisoners and their families to support them to maintain good family relationships, which can play a critical role in reducing reoffending rates. We provide support, information and a personal welcome for first-time visitors to help them access the services available to them.
The role of Refreshment Bar supervisor will include setting up the tea bar for each visit session, ensuring the float has been counted and placed in till, the tea bar is properly stocked and kitchen area clean and tidy at end of session. It will also involve taking and processing orders from customers and supporting and supervising volunteers and prisoners who may be working alongside you.
To be successful you will have experience of dealing with people in a customer service-based role and experience of handling money and using a till. You will also need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
