Ormiston Families – Small Steps Together Project
The post holder will work with the Small Steps Together Project Team to co-ordinate, plan and deliver programmes of work during the perinatal mental health period for mothers and their families.
Perinatal Mental Health Senior Practitioner
Permanent part-time position, 21 hours per week
Starting salary £21,928 pro rata per annum
Based in March with local travel and some remote home working
The practitioner will manage their own caseload and have the ability to identify risk, have experience of child protection as well as up to date knowledge of legislation, research and best practice; and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice. The work will largely be conducted remotely using digital platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft teams, although in some circumstances you will be conducting home visits.
This is your opportunity to contribute to service development not only in terms of direct work but also be able to get involved in evaluation, influencing and dissemination of learning.
You will be a competent practitioner with the ability to manage your own workload. You will have knowledge of child development and its influence on parent/child relationship in every stage of child’s development with a specific focus on the 0-2 age group.
