Family Support Worker
Based in HMP Littlehey Visitor’s Centre
Starting salary £18,862 pro rata per annum
Part-time, Maternity cover; 21 hours per week (including 1 full weekend and 1 Saturday per rota)
The Ormiston Families team is based at HMP Littlehey’s Visitor Centre. We provide support, information and a personal welcome for first-time visitors to help them access the services available to them.
We are seeking a Family Support Worker to assist with the effective and efficient running of the Visitor Centre, including booking visits using the prison’s booking system.
The post holder will also facilitate play in the play area within the prison visits hall and serve refreshments in the tea bar alongside prisoners; ensuring prisoners and their families have a valuable visiting experience.
The post holder will also be required to deliver induction sessions to new prisoners.
To be successful you will have experience of dealing with people in a customer service-based role and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
