Based in Our Visitors’ Centre in the following locations

We have opportunities to join our experienced and dedicated Family Support Teams working within the visitors’ centres at the above prisons.
Please Note – HMP Whitemoor is part of the HMP High Security Estate and offers a unique opportunity work in this restricted yet high profile environment. You will be required to obtain and retain additional enhanced security vetting above that required for the main HMP Estate
The main HMP Estate offers a varied and exciting opportunity to work in a busy yet rewarding environment where no two days are the same. You will be required to obtain and retain enhanced security vetting for this role.
The Ormiston Families teams based at our prisons provide support, information and a personal welcome for first-time and returning visitors to help them access the services available to them.
We are excited to be growing and transforming our services for children, families and young people, and will be focused on improving our quality and availability of services and so it is a great time to consider joining us.
We are seeking As & When Family Support Workers to assist the team in providing additional cover with the effective and efficient running of the Visitor Centre and Tea Bar and Play Area in the prison visits hall, to ensure prisoners and their families have a valuable visiting experience, improving the quality of visits for children and families and helping to maintain family relationships.
To be successful you will have experience of dealing with people in a customer service-based role and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills and embrace a non-judgemental work ethic
You will also need to be able to have access to a car or be driven as most prisons are not accessible via Public Transport.
