Shining Stars – Helping bereaved children shine again

Donate today!

Ormiston Families and The Cambridge Independent are joining forces for a fundraising campaign in aid of our Stars children’s bereavement support service.

The Stars service does incredible work to offer specialist bereavement support and counselling to those aged 4-19 in Cambridgeshire following the loss of someone close to them.

UPDATE: Read the campaign launch piece HERE

During the campaign, we will be sharing the stories of those who have been affected by loss or supported in their grief by Stars, highlighting the amazing work our practitioners deliver every day.

Bereavement can be particularly challenging for children and young people to navigate. Stars counsellors listen to the emotional needs of these young people, encouraging them to express painful feelings through creative play and work.

To listen to the stories of our Shining Stars campaign, keep up to date with our social media feeds and with The Cambridge Independent’s print and digital issues.

You can donate to our Shining Stars campaign today on our JustGiving page by clicking here.

If you have been affected by the loss of a loved one, or have been supported by our Stars service in the past, and would like to share your story, please get in touch with our communications team by emailing communications@ormistonfamilies.org.uk.
