Walk with a Fork Success
2017 has been a great year for our flagship ‘Walk with a Fork’ foodie extravaganzas. So far walkers in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk have ambled and devoured their way to raising a triumphant £11,000.
Over 500 people embarked on an eight mile amble around Abbots Ripton Hall and Kimberley Hall, taking in views of these picturesque estates. Each walker had the chance to indulge in locally sourced produce, with a total of 16 suppliers attending across both events.
From Fairfields Farm Crisps, The Abbot’s Elm and FoodCycle Cambridge to Wild Knight Vodka, Grey Seal Coffee and many more, we would like to thank all of the suppliers who gave up their Sundays and provided delicious local produce. Their support undoubtedly made the events the success they were.
Gavin Lamb, relationshipand events manager at Ormiston Families, said: “We are delighted with the success ‘Walk with a Fork’ has had over the years, and this year has been no exception.
“We are grateful to our hosts Kimberley Hall and Lord and Lady De Ramsey for having us at Abbots Ripton Hall, as well to our sponsors Aspall, Charlie’s Norfolk Food Heroes, Travis Perkins, Yare Valley Oils and NFU Mutual's Hethersett office.”
The Suffolk Walk with a Fork will take place on September 3rd at Helmingham Hall. Tickets are £23 per person and children under 5 go free. Dogs are welcome. To book tickets please visit: www.ormiston-families.eventbrite.com
