Walk with a Fork returns
Our foodie extravaganza ‘Walk with a Fork’ is back for its fifth year with three dates for 2017 in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Walkers will embark on an eight mile amble around some of the most picturesque estates and countryside the region has to offer, while indulging on fresh and tasty treats from local food and drink producers at stops along the way.
‘Walk with a Fork’ is our flagship event and this year will be held at Abbots Ripton Hall, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday 7th May, Kimberley Hall, Norfolk, on Sunday 14th May and Helmingham Hall, Suffolk, on Sunday 3rd September.
We have a range of great different suppliers that can be found throughout our events, including: Aspall, Wild Knight English Vodka, The Fruit Pig Company, The Village Deli, The Abbot’s Elm, Fairfields Farm Crisps and many more!
Gavin Lamb, relationship and events manager at Ormiston Families said: “We are delighted with the success ‘Walk with a Fork’ has had over the years and are especially pleased to be bringing the event back to Cambridgeshire this year.
“We always look forward to ‘Walk with a Fork’ and enjoying all of the great local food and drink from East Anglia and the beautiful scenery of the countryside, all while raising vital funds which allow us to continue our work with children, young people and families throughout the region.
“We are very grateful to our hosts, all of our sponsors and the raft of fantastic suppliers who will be feeding our walkers along the routes.”
Proceeds from ‘Walk with a Fork’ will be used to support our work providing services to support children and young people across East Anglia, helping to improve their life chances. Identifying and responding to the needs of children, whatever challenges they face, the charity’s vision is of a world in which every child will be loved, nurtured and valued.
