Ormiston Families, East of England’s leading family charity is inviting local families, walkers and food lovers to join them for a special day with a twist, at Walsingham Abbey.

Taking place on Sunday 24 March, this eight-mile route will lead walkers on a journey through the splendid  grounds of Walsingham Abbey and alongside its river whilst sampling some of the finest food and drink Norfolk has to offer.

The garden and grounds surrounding Walsingham Abbey are famous for the spectacular ruins of the medieval Priory and their Lady of Walsingham, one of the medieval world’s most important places of pilgrimage.

Gavin Lamb, Fundraising Manager for Ormiston Families, adds: “We are delighted to be returning to the exciting venue of Walsingham Abbey, with such variety in landscape, from woodland to farmland. It was a firm favourite a few years ago and we will be providing new opportunities to enrich the day this year.

With Mother’s Day landing on the following Sunday, there is a great opportunity to treat Mums to an experience that is truly unique. A country walk combined with delicious food and drink is sure to be a memorable gift.”

Tickets cost £25 per adult and children under five go for free. To buy a ticket, visit www.ormiston.org/norfolk-walk-with-a-fork/

All proceeds going to Ormiston Families.
