New Mental Health Support Teams in Schools

The Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership has been granted funding to provide new Mental Health Support Teams in schools.

Our current wave of trainees will finish their learning year in January 2021 and will be working with schools across North Norfolk and Kings Lynn to support children dealing with anxiety, low mood and depression. The teams have already been working with a small case load this year which has been clinically supervised.

The new team of trainees will eventually work with schools across Lowestoft and South Norfolk and are due to begin their learning year in the new year. Each team will work with approximately 20 schools (8000 pupils) across a range of education settings.

We want to say thank you to the teams working so hard this year with their training and know that their work will make a great impact on children and young people’s lives.
