Golfers raise thousands for Ormiston Families!
Our fifth annual Golf Day took place at Colchester Golf Club on 23rd October, with nine teams from across the region taking part to raise money for our services supporting families who need us the most.
In total the day raised £5500 from team entries, raffle and sponsorship combined – a fantastic amount which will help us to ensure families feel safe, healthy and resilient and in charge of their wellbeing.

We would also like to thank our on the day competition, hole and refreshment sponsors – AT&A, Barnes Construction, Challs International, Buster, ALKIMI, and Shore Engineering as well as Colchester Golf Club for hosting such a successful day.
Players took on the 18-hole course with four individually sponsored ‘nearest to pin’ competitions along the way, a chance to ‘beat the pro’ on the fourth tee, and a simulator competition featuring the famous postage stamp hole from the Royal Troon golf club.
Winners of the competitions were announced at lunch after the players returned, as well as the winners of the raffle prizes kindly donated by Milsoms, Coes of Ipswich and Ashtons legal.
A team from Andrew Thompson and Associates (pictured) were the overall winners on the day with a team from ASL Group coming in as runners up. The following winners were as follows:
