Volunteers week 2018 has been a chance for us to say thank you to our wide range of volunteers for all of the hard work and dedication they put into their work with Ormiston Families! Take a look at some of our wonderful volunteers below..
Craig volunteers for our Point 1 project which supports youth mental health in Norfolk and Waveney. He wanted to move into an office after 20 years in the manufacturing industry but lacked experience so thought volunteering would be a great way to gain it.
Anna started volunteering for Ormiston Families seven years ago, but is now employed in our Mpower project, supporting women who have had their children removed to understand the reasons why. She has now gone on to pursue a degree due to the support of her manager.
Dan volunteers for our fundraising team in central office. He volunteers because it is a flexible way to gain some experience a couple of days a week whilst job hunting and going for interviews.
Liz volunteers for our Transforming Rehabilitation project, supporting offenders reflect upon their family. After going through some tough times in her own life, Liz loves helping out the people in her group to make a difference.
