Hello from Mark Heasman
Firstly, I was delighted to finally see the unveiling of the therapeutic art project mural at Boston Lodge in Lowestoft. This remarkable project brought together young people in the local community who were isolated or struggling with mental health issues and it helped to increase their confidence and gave them a real sense of team work.
Boston Lodge has also ‘bagged’ a fantastic £8,000 of funding from the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, where money raised from the 5p carrier bag charge is given back to local community projects.
We’re very proud of our ‘Ormiston family’ and we understand the importance of making sure they have the best environment in which to carry out their great work, so we’re really pleased to have passed the test and had our accreditation to Investors in People renewed.
2016 is off to a great start and I am looking forward to all of the fantastic events and projects coming up.
P.S. We are collecting the Sainsbury’s Active Kids, so if anyone wishes to donate their vouchers to us, please post them to our offices by 8th July.
