Celebrating 35 years of success
We marked the 35th anniversary of Ormiston Families at a special ‘Celebrate Success’ awards ceremony in Cambridge.
Hosted at the C3 Centre, ‘Celebrate Success’ brought together over 125 employees, fundraisers, volunteers and partners to recognise their success at the afternoon tea celebratory event held in November.
Awards were presented to a number of recipients on the evening, acknowledging people’s hard work and commitment to fundraising, volunteering and innovation, as well as ‘Team of the Year’ and outstanding service. Winners included: Emma Peck, Clare Rood, Linda Canty, Zina Bourne and the Transforming Rehabilitation Team. A number of long service awards were also presented to those members of the team who have worked at Ormiston Families for over 10 years.
Ormiston Families has many successes to celebrate, it has grown substantially since it first opened its doors in 1981 and at this year’s ‘Celebrate Success’ event employees, volunteers, fundraisers and partners were able to get together to reflect upon this.
Ormiston Families’ CEO, Mark Heasman, said: “I joined Ormiston Families as CEO in 2013 and in the time that I have been with the charity it has been fantastic to continue to see it go from strength to strength. I have been very impressed by the new teams, individuals and volunteers joining us and how quickly they have become part of ‘our Ormiston family’.
“I am delighted to have led the charity into its 35th year of service and to be able to share the celebrations with everybody at this year’s ‘Celebrate Success’ event. Congratulations to our winners, runners up and everyone else who supports the charity enabling us to carry out our vital services. I look forward to next year’s event and many more successes for Ormiston Families.”
