HMP Wayland is a Category C Male Prison where we provide the following support and service:

• extended children's visits [one each month 11.00-15.30]
• extended family fisits (each Monday in the month 11.00am -15.30pm) and occasional special family days
• a staffed play area within domestic visits
• an accredited parenting course for fathers within the prison
• family liaison work
• weekly induction for all prisoners offering information about our services
• photographs for foreign nationals, and any other prisoners who do not have visits, to send to their children and families.

Visitors Centre:

Please note that the Visits Centre is run by HMP Wayland and can be contacted on 01953 804152.

The Visits Centre is open:

Monday to Friday:
9.00am -12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.30pm

Sat and Sun:
2.30pm - 4.30pm

There is a voice mail facility in operation out of hours.

There is wheel chair access to the centre and the prison. A Stannah lift is used to access the Visits Room.
