Ormiston provides the national Prisoners Families Helpline. This is a national service providing support and information to families affected by imprisonment. It is also available to those working with anyone whose life is affected by this issue.

The Helpline is run by Ormiston Children and Families Trust and is co-ordinated by Action For Prisoners' Families, the national organisation which promotes the just treatment of prisoners' families by the prison system and society across the UK.

The Helpline deals with more than 16,000 calls a year and provides an email and website service for those who would prefer not to use the phone The opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-3pm.
