Visiting HMP Chelmsford

Our friendly team at HMP Chelmsford will do all they can to help you and your family with their visit to the prison.
We organise regular children’s visits too so that children can visit their relative in a more family-friendly environment. We also run an accredited parenting course for fathers in prison. Our staff can also help with family liaison and work with other Ormiston teams to provide support to families in their homes, schools, children’s centres and in their communities.

Visitors Centre

The Visitors Centre is run by the Chelmsford Prison Visitors Centre Charity who can be contacted on 01245 552452

There is wheelchair access to the centre and the prison.
