Insider Knowledge - an evaluation of You and Your Child - Free dowload

Ormiston has developed an accredited parenting programme, 'You & Your Child' which is now delivered to fathers in eight prisons in the Eastern region. The programme is specifically designed to address the needs of parents/carers in sustaining positive relationships with their children from prison. It aims to build skills by raising self-awareness and confidence in learners.

The evaluation follows up a sample of fathers six months after completing the course and looks at how the course has impacted on their attitudes and behaviour as parents and their views about their future. Its findings highlight a range of very positive, specific and sustained changes experienced by the learners and their families as a result of the course.
